If you're looking for information on a particular topic for research or course work, you can use the following resources to search the contents of journals and e-journals for articles that match your area of interest.
Each resource allows you to search a collection of information in particular subject areas, for example film, performing arts fine art or design. Each collection may include the contents from hundreds of journals but will not include everything that has been published. To get a larger number of relevant results, don't just rely on one resource but try a number that cover your subject area.

It contains thousands of data entries on films ranging from well-known studio blockbusters to obscure, once-lost period films. FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals
Created by the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF), this resource indexes more than 300,000 articles from 300 of the world's foremost academic and popular film journals, dating from 1972 onwards, plus full text content from some of the most important journals. The database also incorporates Treasures from the Film Archives, which identifies silent film holdings in archives around the world, and the International Directory of Film/TV Documentation Collections.
